About Us

It all started when I was 13. When most young girls were thinking about hanging out, music and boys, I was having spontaneous visions of being a clothing designer. One of my earliest designs was a set of specially designed black spandex legging pants. Years later, with the revolutionary explosion of athleisure, I saw those pants designed by a company. I was disappointed that someone else also saw my vision of design for these pants but I felt confident that I had what it took to be a fashion designer.

I absolutely love to design. It is second nature to me and my true passion. In high school, I had a desire to attend design school in New York however, upon graduating from high school, life took me down a different path early of having a family, receiving my college degrees in business then forging my way forward in corporate America. Throughout my professional and educational experiences, my instincts continued to follow me encouraging me to pursue my dreams. It is a calling.

Now, years later, I am finally taking the leap starting with my T shirt business, Chicly Spoken. Although I have books of fashion sketches with many great and unique ideas created over the years, I chose T shirts to tackle first because simply put, I love T shirts. I wear them often in various ways and they can communicate a powerful message in such a simple and front faced format.

Chicly Spoken consists of a fresh and flavorful variety of themes to choose from that mirror true imagination and originality reflecting an allure of passion, originality and confidence. They're all specially designed by me and are provided in a variety of content and color. Wearable expression, you can say a lot without saying a word as you sport your Chicly Spoken tee.
